Wow.. time passes very quickly.  I started Woodland Blinds 15 years ago but it seems like yesterday.  Well.. the time is here for me to take a bow and exit stage-right. 
Before allowing me to exit, my fellow shareholders and I worked with an executive search firm to find the right individual to take Woodland Blinds to a higher level. That man is waiting off stage and is ready to take the role of leader. 

Scot Brown is a sales oriented individual with proven
experience who will bring Woodland Blinds to a more
prominent role in the industry as the housing recession winds down.  Although he has not been a player in the window covering industry, his experience in the home appliance industry certainly qualifies him to take on the role here as
President/CEO.  He is eager to learn whatever he can from all of you.
Scot is aware of our mission statement:  Woodland Blinds ships on time, complete and to specification!  He will continue to follow this path as he strives to find ways to expand our partnerships with our customers.  It is our goal to be a very strong company when the current housing recession comes to an end.  Scot is preparing the company for that day.
I appreciate all that you and your companies have done to
support the programs of Woodland Blinds over the years.  The success of Woodland Blinds is mostly because we have the most loyal customers in the industry.  Thank you and I wish all of you the very best.

A letter to Introduce our new CEO
Dear Customer:
 
I am most pleased and proud to take the position as President and CEO of Woodland Blinds. I come to this job with almost thirty years of experience in the product development, marketing, and sales of diverse household consumer goods. I spent over twenty years with A.B. Electrolux, manufacturers and marketers of the Frigidaire, Westinghouse, Poulan, and Husqvarna brands and I spent the last five years with Bosch Siemens, manufacturers and marketers of the Bosch, Siemens, Thermador and Gaggenau brands. Most recently I was Sr. VP of Bosch Siemens North America and a member of their Board of Directors. I understand the positive differentiator of “quality” as it relates to products and to services and the key role that “fashion” plays in the purchasing decision process for household products such as those which are marketed through Woodland Blinds customers to consumers, specifiers, architects, designers and builders.
 
We believe Woodland Blinds to be the largest and highest quality independent vendor of private label window covering products in North America. I will re-affirm and sustain Woodland Blinds’ commitment to deliver top-quality, demonstrably superior products in the fastest production times and to exhibit the highest quality of customer service in support of those products. 
 
Woodland Blinds will remain committed to ensuring that quality levels are constantly monitored to ensure minimum remakes, reworks and parts orders.  The current percent of remake blinds for manufacturing defect is less than  one half of 1% and we are actively engaged in further improvements.
 
Thank you for your loyalty to our company and we look forward to further expansion of win/win partnership alliances with your organizations. Our goal is to help you and your business develop meaningful and profitable market share growth.

to Save Time?
 
As all of us know—”Time is Money”.  This is especially true in the competitive world of the Window Covering Industry.  Here are some ways you can use our website to save time:
· Place your orders on-line.  All custom horizontal blinds and woven wood shades can be placed in our on-line shopping cart.  Only Builders Express Blinds, Shades and Arches and our custom Honeycomb/Cellular Shades are not available at this time (we are currently in the process of adding these product lines to the shopping cart).  The shopping cart can also be used to price jobs and keep track of all of your orders.  Call your sales agent today for an on-line entry application.
· Track your UPS shipments on-line.  The morning after your order has shipped, you can go to our website to track your shipment.  Click on the “Shipment Tracking” link on the left side of our home page.  Type in your Woodland Blinds tracking number (sent to you on your daily confirmation).  The UPS tracking information will be displayed for your use.
· All order forms are available on our website.  Go to the “Our Products” tab on the bar at the top of the page.  Then click on the “Order Forms” link on the left side of any of our product pages.  Choose the order form you want to print.  This order form will appear in an Adobe (pdf) format for your use.
· Troubleshooting instructions are available on our website.  Click on the “Technical Information” tab at the top of our home page.  You will see a list of instructions that tell you how to install blinds, shorten blinds, replace slats, troubleshoot and change out tilters, troubleshoot lift problems, and install hold downs.  All of these instructions are available in a Adobe (pdf) format for your use.

A select number of colors in each Fabric Series will be included in our Quick-Ship Program.  Our commitment to you is that the colors in our Quick-Ship Program will:
· Ship in 3 to 5 business days after the order is received by noon.
· Keep inventory at sufficient levels with minimal material delays on normal size orders.
All other colors will be part of our Special Order Program.  Orders in these fabrics may require longer lead times based on current inventory levels.  However, when the fabric is in stock, these orders will be manufactured in 3 to 5 business days.
