Introducing Two New Product Lines:
Trendsby Royal and LouverWood ShutterBlinds
Trends Blinds are our newest fauxwood blinds in 7 stain-look colors. These 100% PVC slats are produced using a new extruding process that creates a remarkable real-wood look. It is truly hard to tell the difference between Trends and stained basswood. These slats are also certified as flame retardant.
Because we were so impressed by the look of Trends, Woodland Blinds was one of the first manufacturers in the United States to agree to distribute this new product line. As a result, unlike most other manufacturers in the U.S., we are comfortably in stock in all colors.
2.5 LouverWood ShutterBlinds, our newest ShutterBlinds, come in 3 white and 5 stained colors. This Basswood blind has slats that have a unique elliptical shape that is thicker in the center of the slat than on the edges. LouverWood ShutterBlinds are available with routed or routeless construction.
Add-on decks are available and in-stock at Woodland Blinds free of charge. New decks and selling kits will contain these 2 new product lines. All of our sample decks and kits are available with our Sunrise label or with your own private-label. Order your decks today.
Woven Wood Shades Ship in 5 to 8 Business Days
Did you know that Woodland Blinds is now shipping Woven Wood Shades in 5 to 8 business days? This result greatly surpasses the goals that we set when we committed to adding this new department in November, 2003. Our goal has always been to provide the quickest production time in the industry on all of our product lines. Rely on us to produce Woven Wood Shades with the same quick production time and high quality standards as our Horizontal Blind Collection.
Woven Wood Shades come in 34 different styles and colors in 5 price groups. All 5 price groups are available with the RollEase Continuous Cord Loop System, Duofold Lift System, Edge Binding and Privacy or Blackout Liners.
Woven Wood Decks contain 8 x 10 samples of all fabrics and samples of all edge bindings. These decks are available with our Sunrise Label or with your own Private Label (minimum order of 25 decks) for just $35 each.

Wrap-Around Valance Clips
vs. Hidden Valance Clips
On August 1, 2004 we changed our specifications to include wrap-around clips as standard with all blinds. This change was made mainly to help reduce the number of ship damaged valances. The C Channels for the hidden clip system that were glued and stapled to the back of the valance were getting broken during shipment. In addition, the hidden clips are harder to attach to the valance and more likely to break if you have the need to remove the valance from the headrail. Hidden clips are still available upon request for all Basswood Blinds.

New Motorized Blind Motor
Doubles Maximum Square Footage!
Many of you have used our motorized tilt system on the 2 blinds, so you know that this option is a low-cost solution for hard-to-reach blinds. We are pleased to announce that we are replacing our current tilt motor with a new, stronger motor. Both motors are produced by Techniku, but the new motor adds strength and flexibility.
The stronger motor not only doubles the square footage maximum for every product, it also works on 2.5 blinds, blinds with cloth tape, and blinds with routeless construction. However, the new motor system will not work on 2on1 blinds. See the enclosed specifications for details. The cost for this new option is $76 per blind.
Fauxwood (Synthetic Wood) Specifications Change
to Allow Same Side Controls
Woodland Blinds is now offering all of our Fauxwood Blinds (KingWood A, KingWood B, Windsong, & Trends) with same side controls. This will allow you, our customers, to sell premium custom-made options on all of our product lines.
In the past, we have only offered opposite side controls on Fauxwood Blinds because we felt that 4.5 end-routes were the ideal size in order to reduce drooping or warpage. 4.5 end-routes do not allow enough room for both the tilt and lift mechanisms on one side of the blind, the cords will eventually fray and/or break.
Our new specifications call for 4.5 end-routes on blinds with opposite side controls (left-right or right-left) and 5.5 end-routes on blinds with same side controls (left-left or right-right). Please see the enclosed specification sheets or price lists for details about end-route locations and ladder placement.
